The Avett Brothers’ acclaimed new musical ‘SWEPT AWAY’ to open on Broadway in Autumn 2024

Chart-topping folk-rock band The Avett Brothers have announced that their acclaimed new musical, SWEPT AWAY, a thrilling tale of shipwreck, salvation and brotherhood set on the high seas, will begin previews on Broadway later this year at a Shubert theatre to-be-announced.

The announcement was made live from the stage at Forest Hills Stadium on Friday night. Immediately following the announcement, Berkeley Repertory Theatre and Arena Stage cast members joined the Brothers on stage to perform the title song.

Scott and Seth Avett said:

“Some of you may have already seen our (Broadway) show….”.
