Sony Pictures UK has released the official teaser trailer for GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE, the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) and the fifth film in the Ghostbusters franchise, which will be released in cinemas nationwide on 29 March 2024.
Directed by Gil Kenan from screenplay by Jason Reitman & Gil Kenan, based on the 1984 film “Ghostbusters” directed by Ivan Reitman and written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, the film stars Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Bill Murray, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts.
In GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artefact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
