Wizards of the Coast is celebrating ten years of supporting Extra Life, a charity program in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the Seattle Children’s Autism Center, with a return of My Little Pony to Magic: The Gathering x Secret Lair.
Ponies: The Galloping 2 is a sequel to 2019’s Ponies: The Galloping featuring four popular characters from the franchise: Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash, and is available to pre-order now exclusively through the Secret Lair Website.
Wizards of the Coast will donate fifty percent of each purchase of Ponies: The Galloping 2 to benefit Extra Life to support the Seattle Children’s Autism Center. The cards are illustrated by Rudy Siswanto, John Thacker, and Anna Steinbauer. While they are not tournament-legal, the cards have unique mechanics.
They will be available in foil or regular treatments beginning on 18 September at 9am PT until 6 November 2023 at 11:59pm PT.
The Wizards of the Coast community has rallied together to raise nearly $5 million for sick and injured kids who are being treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout North America.
“The generous philanthropy efforts of Wizards of the Coast have supported some of our most innovative and creative initiatives related to community outreach and training, building our capacity to serve more patients and families, and improving our systems to deliver more equitable patient care,” said Dr. Mendy Minjarez, executive director of Seattle Children’s Autism Center. “Most importantly, it’s making a difference in the lives of kids and their families.”
In addition to offering Ponies: The Galloping 2 through the Secret Lair website, Wizards of the Coast is offering Extra Life 2023 swag for purchase through MTG Proshop and sleeves and an avatar through MTG Arena.
Extra Life unites thousands of gamers around the world to play games in support of their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $100 million for sick and injured kids.
