Heartwarming festive classic ‘THE BISHOP’S WIFE’ will be released back in cinemas this Christmas to celebrate its 75th Anniversary!

Park Circus has announced that Best Picture Academy Award nominated Hollywood classic, THE BISHOP’S WIFE, directed by Henry Koster and starring Cary Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven will be twinkling back into cinemas for Christmas to celebrate its 75th Anniversary.

The heartwarming festive classic will be screening in cinemas across the UK from 9th December 2022, including Odeon, Cineworld, Showcase and the BFI Southbank, in addition to Irish cinemas and selected international territories such as France, The Netherlands, Australia and the US.

There will also be a very special preview screening at this year’s Cary Comes Home For The Weekend Film Festival in his hometown of Bristol with a video message from the last surviving member of the cast, child actor Karolyn Grimes.

Heavenly bells are ringing, jubilant choirs are singing and Christmas joy is blanketing the world like freshly fallen snow in THE BISHOP’S WIFE. But the Yuletide spirit has yet to warm Bishop Henry Brougham’s Victorian home. Struggling to raise funds for a new cathedral, the preoccupied young clergyman has neglected his loving wife Julia, and now only divine intervention can save their marriage! But the powerful and handsome angel sent from above has a mind of his own and teaching mortal Henry an immortal lesson in romance isn’t all he’s got planned!
