Harvest Kaplankaya returns to the Aegean Coast this May!

Harvest Kaplankaya will return to Six Senses Kaplankaya, Turkey from 11th to 15th May 2022, gathering an incredible new line up of internationally renowned speakers, practitioners and performers.

Set on the turquoise shores of the Aegean, Harvest is a bi-annual meeting of ideas, discovery, music and connection. Attracting an international crowd of over 200 entrepreneurs, activists and explorers of the physical and spiritual worlds, the Harvest community seeks to discuss and experiment with new ways of thinking and living in relation to oneself, one another and the planet.

Filled with fascinating talks, hands-on workshops, nourishing gastronomic experiences, moving performances and spirited music, this year’s focus is on bringing people together to rediscover human connection and wellbeing, contemplate important global issues and celebrate human potential.

The line-up includes:

Dr. Mark Hyman (Physician and leader in the field of Functional Medicine)

A fourteen-time New York Times bestselling author, Dr Mark Hyman is sparking a health revolution with an emphasis on the power of real food.

Dr. Gabor Maté (Hungarian-Canadian physician, expert in human trauma)

Awarded Canada’s highest civilian distinction for his ground-breaking work in medicine, Gabor is an award-winning author who’s known worldwide for his expertise on addiction, trauma and childhood development.

Lily Cole (Model, actor, filmmaker and author)

As a supermodel, Lily has some insider’s insight into the human system, which she channelled with the help of shamanic plant medicine into a book, called Who Cares Wins, chronicling a thousand ways in which we can halt the Sixth Mass Extinction. Alongside her modelling and writing, she is an ‘accidental entrepreneur’ and filmmaker.

Anita Frauwallner (Multispecies probiotic expert and founder of Institut AllergoSan)

Having founded the Institut AllergoSan, a leading global centre of excellence for microbiome research, Anita’s work helps millions with their gut health and her innovative approach to multispecies probiotics.

Wade Davis (Anthropologist, writer, photographer and filmmaker)

A National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence, Wade’s work looks into how we can reconfigure our behavioural patterns and create real change in ourselves and the world, taking him from the Amazon, Tibet and Africa to Australia, Polynesia and the Arctic.

Additional speakers and practitioners include Jamie Wheal, Indra Adan, Idriss Aberkane, Camilla Fayed, Lisa de Narvaez, Amber Joy and many more.

Maira Inae, CEO of Harvest, comments:

“Our last Harvest in October was a sell-out success, despite travel restrictions lifting only one week before the event. What we saw last year, after a two-year period of little travel, was the refreshed desire of our guests to interact with our speakers and practitioners. This is what people valued, along with the content and nourishment of the location because it allows for greater sharing and learning, which is the main reason people come. With most airways open, and growing global demand for wellness experiences, this year we expect to see our guests, new and old, returning from around the world to dive into this incredible four-day experience.”

Though physical and mental wellbeing is just one aspect of Harvest, after two years of relatively little travel and most of the world’s population experiencing lockdowns in some form, globally wellness tourism is quickly growing into its own segment of the travel economy.

A relatively new segment of the industry, wellness tourism is now growing at a 50% faster rate than conventional tourism, with no signs of slowing down. A report by Global Wellness Institute reveals the global wellness economy generated $4.4 trillion in revenue during 2020 while the wellness tourism sector accounted for $436 billion. It is expected to see an annual growth rate of 7.7% until 2030.

The sixth instalment of Harvest Kaplankaya is set to take place in October 2022.

Harvest Kaplankaya packages start from £2,650 per person, including a full programme of inspirational talks, workshops and performances and a four-night, full-board (with wine pairings and cocktail receptions) stay at Six Senses Kaplankaya.
