You’re on earth. There’s no cure for that…
From Broadway director Danya Taymor comes a stunning revival of Samuel Beckett’s comic-tragic masterpiece ENDGAME, which will run at the Gate Theatre Dublin from 16th February to 26th March 2022 (previews from 11th February)
The production will star Frankie Boyle as Hamm and Robert Sheehan as Clov, alongside Seán McGinley and Gina Moxley as Nagg and Nell.
Beckett’s classic centres on the fractious relationship between irascible tyrant Hamm and his boy-servant, Clov. An apocalyptic, nihilistic and darkly funny tale, the play also features Hamm’s parents, Nagg and Nell, living in dustbins, tossed aside by an uncaring world.
The new production will feature Set Design by Sabine Dargent, Costume Design by Katie Davenport, Lighting Design by Isabella Byrd, and Sound Design by Denis Clohessy.
Although it is now 65 years since ENDGAME’s original premiere, it remains an urgent and strikingly relevant work that speaks to the existential and absurdist challenges of our time.
