Universal Pictures has released the official trailer for the upcoming musical drama, CYRANO, which will be released in cinemas nationwide on 14th January 2022.
Directed by Joe Wright from a screenplay by Erica Schmidt, based on Schmidt’s own 2018 stage musical of the same name, itself based on “Cyrano de Bergerac” by Edmond Rostand, the film stars Peter Dinklage as Cyrano de Bergerac, alongside Haley Bennett, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Bashir Salahuddin, and Ben Mendelsohn.
Award-winning director Joe Wright envelops moviegoers in a symphony of emotions with music, romance, and beauty in CYRANO, re-imagining the timeless tale of a heartbreaking love triangle. A man ahead of his time, Cyrano de Bergerac (Dinklage) dazzles whether with ferocious wordplay at a verbal joust or with brilliant swordplay in a duel. But, convinced that his appearance renders him unworthy of the love of a devoted friend, the luminous Roxanne (Bennett), Cyrano has yet to declare his feelings for her — and Roxanne has fallen in love, at first sight, with Christian (Harrison, Jr.).

CYRANO has music by Aaron Dessner & Bryce Dessner and lyrics by Matt Berninger & Carin Besser.
