Written and directed by Chinonye Chukwu, the powerful, Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning drama, Clemency, starring Alfre Woodard in a critically acclaimed central performance, will be released on Digital platforms, including Curzon Home Cinema, from Friday 17th July 2020 courtesy of Bohemia Media.
The cast also includes Aldis Hodge, Richard Schiff and Wendell Pierce.
Clemency will also be available to watch on Bohemia Media’s bespoke film streaming platform (launching from 1 July), which will allow viewers to select a local cinema to receive an equal split of the revenue.
Years of carrying out death row executions have taken a toll on prison warden Bernadine Williams. As she prepares to execute another inmate, Bernadine must confront the psychological and emotional demons her job creates.
Writer-director Chinonye Chukwu is the first black woman to win the top prize at Sundance.
