Simon Bird’s ‘Days of the Bagnold Summer’ arrives on digital platforms on 8 June 2020!

Altitude have announced that Simon Bird’s critically acclaimed directorial debut, DAYS OF THE BAGNOLD SUMMER, an adaptation of Joff Winterhart’s brilliant debut graphic novel of the same name, will be released on digital platforms across the UK and Ireland on 8 June 2020.

The film’s cast includes BAFTA-winning actress Monica Dolan, Earl Cave, Rob Brydon, Alice Lowe, Tamsin Greig, Tim Key and Elliot Speller-Gillot.

DAYS OF THE BAGNOLD SUMMER is adapted for the screen by Lisa Owens and co-produced by Matthew James Wilkinson of Stigma Films and Isabelle Georgeaux of Pont Neuf Productions.

A heavy-metal-loving teenager’s holiday plans fall through at the last minute, meaning he must spend the whole summer with the person who annoys him most in the world: his mum.

DAYS OF THE BAGNOLD SUMMER is a tender, funny coming-of-age story; an acutely observed portrait of growing pains, friendship and family life.

Streaming platforms from June 8th will include: iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Sky Store, Virgin, BT, Curzon Home Cinema and the BFI Player.
