Sally Cookson’s acclaimed production of ‘The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe’ comes to The Lowry for Christmas 2020!

Elliott & Harper Productions and Catherine Schreiber have today announced that Sally Cookson’s highly acclaimed stage production of C.S. Lewis’ beloved classic, The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe, currently playing to packed houses at the Bridge Theatre in London, will play an extended Christmas season at The Lowry in Salford from 9 December 2020 to 23 January 2021.

Step through the wardrobe this winter into the magical kingdom of Narnia for the most mystical of adventures in a faraway land. Join Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter as they wave goodbye to wartime Britain and say hello to a talking Faun, an unforgettable Lion and the coldest, cruellest White Witch. The nations favourite novel, now on the stage.

First premiered at Leeds Playhouse back in 2017, this extraordinary adaptation re-tells the story with a mix of Cookson’s trade-mark theatricality, humour, music and puppetry.
