Armando Iannucci’s ‘The Personal History of David Copperfield’ to open 63rd BFI London Film Festival

The 63rd BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express has announced the European Premiere of Armando Iannucci‘s ‘THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF DAVID COPPERFIELD’ as this year’s Opening Night Gala on Wednesday 2nd October 2019.

Iannucci’s fresh take on the Charles Dickens’ classic boasts a stellar British cast including Dev Patel, Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie, Peter Capaldi, Ben Whishaw, Paul Whitehouse and Gwendoline Christie.

The Gala will take place at Odeon Luxe, Leicester Square with many of the cast expected to attend.

The 63rd BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express takes place from Wednesday 3rd October to Sunday 13th October 2019. The full Festival programme will be announced on Thursday 29 August 2019.
