Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort reopens for the 2019 season

An icon of hospitality for over 110 years, the luxury 5-star Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort, a masterpiece of early 20th Century Venetian art, has reopened its doors for a new season in the luxurious setting of the Venetian Lagoon.

Thanks to its exclusive location overlooking the beach of the Venice Lido, Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort recalls the dreamy atmosphere of the Belle Époque, offering guests an unforgettable experience with five-star hospitality, luxury accommodation, refined menus, long beaches and crystal-clear sea.

The reopening will showcase newly restyled premium rooms, an exclusive tour of the cultural institution La Biennale Arte and a brand-new summer culinary experience.

Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort has raised the curtain on the second part of its renovation project which includes the refurbishment of some rooms and the creation of new room types.

The new Premium rooms are divided into Classic, Grand Deluxe and Presidential categories, with both the atmosphere and design echoing back to the classic Venetian style: a marriage of Gothic and Renaissance inspiration with a modern-day allure.

Majestic glass chandeliers that recall the traditional glass-blowing art of Murano dominate the rooms, with natural daylight provided by large windows and mirrors.

Elegant furnishings and décor, together with a delicate colour palette with pastel tones, boost the romantic allure of the rooms.

The Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is also the perfect retreat after a day discovering the wonders of Venice and its important events, such as the famous Art Biennale, and to celebrate the 2019 Biennale, titled “May You Live In Interesting Times”, the hotel has announced the launch of an exclusive new Biennale Offer.

The Biennale Offer is valid for stays from 11 May to 27 October 2019 and includes accommodation for a minimum of three nights, buffet breakfast and two full regular Biennale tickets (valid for one admission to each exhibition venue).

The 58th International Art Exhibition – curated by Ralph Rugoff and organised by La Biennale – will stretch from the Central Pavilion (Giardini) to the Arsenale, and will include 79 artists from all over the world.

The reopening also means that guests will now have the chance to embark on a Venetian culinary journey thanks to the new summer restaurant run by chef Lionello Cera on the Tropicana Terrace.

Bistrot del Mare by Lionello Cera enhances the hotel’s dining offerings which already include: Elimar Beach Bar and Restaurant and the Blue Bar, both led by the Executive Chef Damiano Brocchini.

Cera’s cuisine will delight the Lido guests all summer long with an innovative new menu devised to highlight the best of the local cuisine.
