The Lyric Hammersmith has announced full casting for its upcoming revival of Michael Frayn’s multi-award winning backstage farce, Noises Off, which makes a triumphant return to theatre where it first premiered back in 1982 in a bold new production from 27 June to 27 July 2019.
Widely hailed as one of the greatest stage comedies ever written, Noises Off will be directed by Jeremy Herrin, Artistic Director of Headlong, and designed by Max Jones.
The production will star Meera Syal as Dotty Otley, Lloyd Owen as Lloyd Dallas, and Daniel Rigby as Garry Lejeune, alongside Lois Chimimba as Poppy Norton-Taylor, Jonathan Cullen as Freddie Fellows, Debra Gillett as Belinda Blair, Amy Morgan as Brooke Ashton, Enyi Okoronkwo as Tim Allgood, and Simon Rouse as Selsdon Mowbray.
Michael Frayn said:
“It’s a great personal pleasure for me, of course, to see my play come home, after all its travels around the world in the last forty years, to the theatre where it took its first hopeful but still uncertain steps.”
