The annual Grenada Chocolate Festival is set to kick off from 31 May to 7 June 2019, with the 9-day chocolate–themed festival providing chocolate lovers with the adventure of a lifetime.
Situated just minutes from the heart and soul of the festival, on the world-famous Grand Anse Beach, Spice Island Beach Resort provides the perfect base from which guests can partake in the activities and exhibitions on offer.
The festival is set to celebrate tree-to-bar ethically and sustainably made dark Grenadian chocolate with an array of authentic experiences steeped in deep appreciation for the delicious chocolate made from the island’s renowned fine flavoured cocoa.
Situated in the midst of the action, guests at Spice Island can find themselves making and enjoying chocolate Pina Coladas, taking a journey through the history of chocolate, bartering with cocoa beans as the Mayas once did, and experiencing the old fashioned and ethical way to grow and pick organic cocoa.
Following a busy day indulging in all that the festival has to offer, guests can continue the chocolate festivities from the comfort of Spice Island’s Janissa Spa. Guests can indulge in the “Spice Classic Chocolate Body Wrap”, which includes revitalizing and nourishing the skin through treatment made from local Grenadian Chocolate.
If guests need a break from chocolate, Spice Island offers a range of cuisines to fit all needs and desires. Oliver’s restaurant features excellent international cuisine, including a variety of vegetarian selections.
Overlooking Grand Anse Beach and the Caribbean Sea, Sea and Surf Terrace & Bar offers an international selection of gourmet fare elevated by local flavours.
