Sutton Foster to join Hugh Jackman in the Broadway revival of ‘The Music Man’

Producer Scott Rudin has announced that Sutton Foster will return to the Broadway stage following an absence of six years to play Marian Paroo opposite Hugh Jackman as Professor Harold Hill in the hotly anticipated Broadway revival of Meredith Willson’s beloved classic, The Music Man.

Directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony Award winner Warren Carlyle, the production will begin performances on Wednesday 9 September 2020, and officially open on Thursday 22 October 2020, at a Shubert theatre still to be announced.



The Music Man reunites the creative team of the Tony Award-winning and record-breaking revival of Hello, Dolly! starring Bette Midler, including four-time Tony Award winner Santo Loquasto (Scenic & Costume Design), six-time Tony Award winner Natasha Katz (Lighting Design), Tony Award winner Scott Lehrer (Sound Design), and David Chase (Dance Arrangements). 

Patrick Vaccariello and Tony Award winner Jonathan Tunick also join the team as Musical Director and Orchestrator, respectively.
