Following its opening at the Manchester Palace Theatre last night, Cameron Mackintosh has announced that his acclaimed touring production of Les Misérables will return to Greater Manchester in May 2020 when it plays The Lowry, Salford Quays from Tuesday 12 to Saturday 30 May 2020.
Booking opens to members at 10am on 25 February 2019 with general on sale at 10am on 1 March 2019.
Les Misérables has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel, additional material by James Fenton and original adaptation by Trevor Nunn and John Caird.
The new production is directed by Laurence Connor and James Powell, designed by Matt Kinley – inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo – with costumes by Andreane Neofitou and Christine Rowland, lighting by Paule Constable, sound by Mick Potter, musical staging by Michael Ashcroft and Geoffrey Garratt, projections by Fifty-Nine Productions and music supervision by Stephen Brooker and Graham Hurman.
