Mia Wasikowska and Christopher Abbott lead the cast of writer and director Nicolas Pesce‘s slick and twisted giallo-inspired love story, Piercing, out in selected cinemas nationwide and on Digital HD on 15 February 2019.
Based on the novel of the same name by the Japanese horror scribe Ryû Murakami, and scored using music from legendary Italians composers Ennio Morricone and Claudio Simonetti, Piercing is a demented, dazzling and surreal new psycho-thriller produced by indie heavyweights Antonio Campos (Netflix’s The Sinner) and Sean Durkin (Afterschool, Martha Marcy May Marlene).
Reed (Christopher Abbott) is going on a business trip and he’s got everything meticulously planned: check into a hotel and kill an unsuspecting victim. Only then can he rid himself of his devious impulses and continue to be a good husband and father. But he gets more than he bargained for with volatile call girl Jackie (Mia Wasikowska.) Before the night is over, a feverish nightmare will unfold, and Reed and Jackie will seal their bond in blood.
