20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has confirmed that Mike Leigh‘s epic historical drama, Peterloo, will be released on Digital Download on 25 February and on Blu-rayTM and DVD on 11 March 2019.
Written and directed by Mike Leigh, the ensemble cast includes Maxine Peake, Rory Kinnear, Pearce Quigley, Nico Mirallegro, and Tim McInnerny.
Peterloo portrays the epic events surrounding the infamous 1819 Peterloo Massacre in Manchester, when armed government forces charged into a crowd of 60,000 peaceful protesters who were desperate for greater democracy and improved working conditions.
Peterloo is an explosively visceral retelling of a defining moment in British history that proved to be a catalyst for further government suppression but also a national outcry.
