Second Run to release Štefan Uher’s ‘The Miraculous Virgin’ on Blu-ray & DVD on 20 August 2018

Second Run has announced that Štefan Uher‘s immersive odyssey through the Slovak art scene of the 1960s, The Miraculous Virgin (Panna zázračnica), will be released in World Premiere Blu-ray and DVD editions on 20 August 2018, presented from a brand new restoration.

Adapted from the renowned 1944 novella by Dominik Tatarka, Uher’s surreal mystery drama remains one of Czechoslovakian cinema’s most admired and controversial works.

The film sees the mysterious Anabella (Jolanta Umecka) casts a spell over a group of young artists to become their muse, awakening desires and providing inspiration.
