Manchester International Festival (MIF) and The Warehouse Project have today announced ‘Special Edition’, four specially curated performances which will take place as pre-Factory events at Manchester’s incredible former railway station, Mayfield, across five nights in November.
Curated with BBC 6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobbs, ‘Special Edition’ will include standout shows from across the musical spectrum – accompanied by unique visuals from lighting designer Stuart Bailes – all presented in the vast, atmospheric space of Mayfield.
The pre-Factory events will pave the way for the opening of The Factory, a new major arts space being developed in the heart of the city that will be operated by MIF which returns next year.
‘Special Edition’ will run alongside The Warehouse Project‘s full 2018 season still to be announced.
