Inspired by the long hazy summers of the 1950s, the 4-star The Magnolia Hotel – situated just steps away from the Quinta do Lago resort in the heart of the Algarve – has launched an exciting new seasonal menu for Summer 2018, inspired by the surrounding region and designed by Head Chef Tom Briggs.
Home to 74 rooms, 3 suites and 7 one-of-a-kind cottages, the beautiful boutique hotel takes guests back in time with a retro, 1950’s motor-hotel design, offering exclusive access to Quinta’s golf courses, luxury shopping, stunning beaches and the great culture of the Algarve.
Using high quality local raw materials, fresh produce and ingredients gathered from the Magnolia Hotel’s own garden, the new menu offers a host of healthy and vibrant new dishes, including an assortment of nutritional salads, superfoods and seasonal daily options.
The menu will feature Salads & Greens such as Bang Bang Chicken & Mango Salad served with Peanut Dressing and Toasted Sunflower Seeds, to Wild Rice & Pickled Beetroot Salad topped with Goats Whip and Grilled Artichokes, alongside a range of mouthwatering main dishes including: Lamb & Mint Meatballs with Rigatoni; Butternut Squash & Spinach Lasagna; Open Taco with Slow and Low Pulled Pork topped with Maple Dripping and Crispy Bacon; and Flat Iron Chicken paired with Hot/Not Piri Piri Sauce and Roasted Broccoli.
The dessert menu will include: Strawberry Eaton Mess; Black Forest Sundae with Homemade Chunky Brownie, Stewed Berries and Ice Cream; and Red Velvet Knickerbocker; as well as Fresh Fruit with Greek Yoghurt for the health conscious!
As part of the new and improved style, The Magnolia Restaurant will now operate LIVE kitchen concept where guests can enjoy an all-day grill serving healthy meals prepared and cooked to perfection.
For those wanting to dine in the sunshine, small dishes and bar bites are also available poolside throughout the day. Guests will also be able to relish in the brand-new Midnight Toastie Service. Available from 10pm these ‘grab and go’ delicacies will get every guest through the night, from the insomniacs to those returning from a night in town.
