Second Run will release the late, great Czech filmmaker Miloš Forman‘s 1964 debut feature film, Black Peter (Černý Petr), on Blu-ray and DVD on 25 June 2018.
Presented from a brand new 4K restoration of the film, Black Peter is a wry and provocative comedy about a young man growing up in the eastern bloc during the early 60s.
A unique and authentic look at the lives of young people, Black Peter is an early masterpiece of the emerging Czechoslovak New Wave from the future two-time Academy Award-winning director of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and Amadeus.
