BFI to release Kon Ichikawa’s ‘An Actor’s Revenge’ in a Dual Format Edition on 26 March, 2018

The BFI will release Kon Ichikawa’s strange and sumptuous melodrama, An Actor’s Revenge, in a Dual Format Edition (and for the very first time on Blu-ray in the UK) on 26 March, 2018.

As visually stunning as it is beguiling, An Actor’s Revenge is tale of a kabuki female impersonator who exacts a long-delayed revenge on the men who drove his parents to suicide

Kazuo Hasegawa stars in the dual role of both the actor and a thief, in a film which celebrated his 300th screen appearance.
