Disney·Pixar’s ‘Coco’ gets an exclusive ‘Moments Worth Paying For’ trailer

Ahead of the eagerly anticipated release of Disney·Pixar‘s COCO, out in cinemas across the UK on 19 January, 2018, the Industry Trust has today unveiled an exclusive Moments Worth Paying For trailer as part of its campaign to combat film piracy.

With behind the scenes footage of the Pixar Studios animators at work, the exclusive trailer focuses on the hilarious and deeply emotive scenes that make us laugh, cry or jump for joy – unforgettable movie moments that must be seen in the very best quality on the big screen.

The Industry Trust’s consumer education campaign continues to deliver the core message – inspiring audiences to choose the big screen experience. Like the others in the Moments Worth Paying For series, the trailer directs audiences to the industry-funded film search engine, FindAnyFilm.com, which signposts legal content sources, so they can book, buy and watch at their convenience.

Production Designer, Harley Jessup, commented:

“The vertical layout, nighttime setting and water base proved a brilliant canvas for the palette. “When Miguel arrives in this fantastical new world, we wanted it to be a vibrant explosion of color,” Jessup says. “For the Land of the Dead, Lee [Unkrich] described a vertical world of towers, contrasting with the flatness of Santa Cecilia. The lights and reflections are dazzling and there’s a crazy transportation system that connects it all.”

COCO follows the story of Miguel, a young boy who, despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel and his faithful sidekick Dante find themselves in the stunning and colourful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Héctor and together they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.

The film features the voices of Anthony Gonzalez, Benjamin Bratt and Gael Garcia Bernal.

Disney·Pixar’s COCO is out in UK cinemas on Friday 19th January 2018 with advanced previews on 13th & 14th of January
