New Adventures announce the return of Matthew Bourne’s ‘CINDERELLA’

New Adventures have today announced the much-anticipated return of Matthew Bourne’s CINDERELLA, which opens at Sadler’s Wells on 9 December, 2017, playing a seven-week season until Saturday 27 January, 2018, ahead of an extensive 2018 UK tour.

One of New Adventures’ best loved productions, Matthew Bourne’s CINDERELLA is a thrilling and evocative adaptation of Prokofiev’s joyous love story, transporting the action to a war-torn London during the Second World War.

A chance meeting results in a magical night for Cinderella and her dashing young RAF pilot, together just long enough to fall in love before being parted by the horrors of the Blitz.

With Lez Brotherston’s sumptuous costumes and Olivier Award-winning set designs, and lighting by Olivier Award-winning Neil Austin, CINDERELLA will be performed in Surround Sound, designed by Paul Groothuis and featuring a specially commissioned recording played by a 60-piece orchestra.

2017 marks the 20th anniversary of CINDERELLA‘s West End premiere and New Adventures’ 16th consecutive Christmas season at Sadler’s Wells.
