Woody Allen has announced that his New Orleans Jazz Band will come to London this summer for a rare one-off concert at The Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 2 July, 2017.
Established over thirty-five years ago, the seven-piece band’s sound is firmly rooted in the music that Allen has loved since his childhood and draws inspiration from the likes of Sidney Bechet, George Lewis, Johnny Dodds, Jimmie Noone and Louis Armstrong.
In 1996, the band embarked on its first tour of Europe, which was chronicled in the documentary film and album “Wild Man Blues”. Despite having toured Europe on a number of occasions since, this concert will mark the band’s first return to the UK in over 10 years.
Tickets go on sale on Friday 5th May. For more information, and to book tickets, please Click Here.
