Lush is celebrating Día de Muertos with a vibrant new collection of handmade cosmetics inspired by Mexican culture, family traditions and the colourful symbolism surrounding the annual Day of the Dead celebration.
Part of the company’s Co-Create programme, the 2026 range brings together bath, body and shower products alongside reusable knot wraps, with each creation drawing on stories, ingredients, memories and traditions connected to Día de Muertos.
Celebrated annually in Mexico on 1 and 2 November, Día de Muertos is a time to honour and remember deceased loved ones. Rather than being defined by mourning, the celebration embraces life through gatherings, food, music, art and colourful traditions.
Lush’s latest collection reflects that celebratory spirit through products inspired by everything from iconic sugar skulls and family desserts to horchata and the symbolism of hummingbirds.

The Lush Día de Muertos Collection Celebrates Love, Memory and Connection
Calaverita Bath Bomb
Priced from £6.50 / €8.00, the Calaverita bath bomb takes inspiration from the colourful sugar skulls associated with Día de Muertos.
The sugar skull symbolises death as a natural part of life, while the bright colours and sweet fragrance offer a more celebratory interpretation of the theme. The bath bomb combines tonka, bergamot, lemon myrtle and warming benzoin resinoid.
Created by Shantal Astudillo from Lush Toronto, the product draws on childhood memories of creating ofrendas and explores themes of culture, identity, love and remembrance.
Postrecito Soap
Priced from £6.00 / €7.50, Postrecito soap takes inspiration from a sweet dessert traditionally associated with family gatherings.
The creamy, fruity soap combines orange, mandarin and bergamot oils, alongside berry and citrus notes for a soft and cheerful fragrance.
Created by Jailene Mandujano from Lush San Diego, the product has a particularly personal connection to family gatherings and memories of visiting loved ones during Día de Muertos.

Horchata Body Scrub
The Horchata body scrub, priced from £10.00 / €12.00, takes its inspiration from the much-loved drink made with rice, water, cinnamon and sugar.
Lush has incorporated exfoliating rice and warming cinnamon alongside moisturising oils and butters to create a body scrub inspired by the drink’s ingredients.
Created by Cena Miller from Lush Texas, the product explores horchata as both a familiar treat and a symbol of cultural heritage within Hispanic communities.
Aliento del Colibrí Shower Gel
Priced from £9.00 / €11.00, Aliento del Colibrí translates as ‘Breath of the Hummingbird’.
The shower gel takes inspiration from a belief in Mexican culture that hummingbirds can carry messages from the dead to the living. Their appearance can be interpreted as a reminder of love, memories or words left unsaid.
The product has a sweet, rosy fragrance inspired by the flowers used on Día de Muertos altars, which are intended to guide, welcome and honour returning souls.
Created by Diego Cruz Rodriguez from Lush Australia, the shower gel explores the relationship between memory, love and celebration.

Día de Muertos Knot Wraps
Lush’s collection also includes colourful knot wraps, reusable fabric alternatives to traditional wrapping paper, ribbons and gift bags.
Inspired by the Japanese art of Furoshiki, knot wraps can be folded and tied around gifts before being reused as accessories or for everyday purposes.
The ‘Amor Eternal’ design translates as ‘Eternal Love’, reflecting the idea that love never dies. Designed by Blanca Molina from Guadalajara, Mexico, the vibrant artwork uses colour and movement to capture the joyful spirit of Día de Muertos while retaining traditional imagery.
