Frontier Developments has revealed the most ambitious expansion yet for Planet Coaster 2, introducing a brand-new Parades system, expanded ride catalogue and a rich thematic overhaul arriving on 25 June 2026 across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
This landmark downloadable content pack marks a significant evolution in park-building gameplay, allowing players to move beyond static attractions and create living, breathing processions that weave through their parks in real time.
Introducing Fully Customisable Parade Systems
For the first time in the series, Park Managers can design, schedule and control fully dynamic parades that travel through custom routes.
Players will be able to:
- Design floats using over 250 scenery components
- Use pre-built blueprints or create entirely original parade designs
- Set intervals and routes for parade movement across the park
- Include entertainers who can walk, ride or lead floats
From Viking longships to whimsical unicorn convoys, the system is designed to enhance storytelling and immersion within park environments.
New Rides And Attractions Expand Gameplay Depth
The Parades expansion also introduces a range of new rides designed to complement the themed experience:
New Coasters And Transport Ride
- HPC Buzzard: A compact single-rail coaster featuring tight turns and inversions
- V&N Narrow Drop: A high-intensity drop coaster built for adrenaline seekers
- FD Vision Electric Trolley: A scenic transport ride for relaxing park traversal
Flat Rides For All Ages
- JUMPIN’ DISC: A spinning motion ride delivering unpredictable movement
- LITTLE DIPPER: A family-friendly mini drop tower experience
These additions aim to broaden both thrill and accessibility within park design strategies.
Americana-Inspired Scenery Set Expands Creative Possibilities
A major highlight of the expansion is a vintage Small Town Americana theme, featuring over 500 scenery pieces.
Players can look forward to constructing: Charming town squares; Bustling main streets; Cosy cafés and boutique storefronts; and Immersive decorative districts.
The set is designed to integrate seamlessly with existing assets, encouraging deeper creative layering across parks.
Nighttime Spectacle And Sound Design Enhancements
To elevate atmosphere, the expansion includes: 19 new firework emitters, six themed music tracks, and 10 ambient sound profiles including bakery, barbershop and classic car engines.
These additions strengthen immersion, particularly during evening park operations and scheduled parade events.
The DLC launches on 25 June 2026 for £14.99 / $18.99 / €18.99. The base game remains required. Planet Coaster 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at £39.99 / $49.99 / €49.99.
