The Official Tower of London River Tour – A Journey Through London’s History Along the Thames

The official Tower of London River Tour begins welcoming passengers from tomorrow, Monday 13 Octoberoffering a unique journey through London’s history along the River Thames.

This all new experience is a collaboration between Historic Royal Palaces and Woods Tours, and features a tour narrative written by Martha Howe-Douglas, co-creator of BBC’s Ghosts, and curated by Historic Royal Palaces. The partnership ensures an authentic historical experience with modern cultural references, reflecting the deep connection between the Tower and the river.

The onboard experience for the official Tower of London River Tour is designed to be both entertaining and informative. Howe-Douglas’ storytelling offers a journey with wit and fascinating insights, which will be delivered live by guides.

The 40-minute circular exploration will begin at Tower Bridge, later reaching the Houses of Parliament, and highlight the city’s iconic landmarks and their histories, alongside the connections to the infamous Tower of London where the tour begins.

As the UK’s first electric tour boat, the Silver Raven stands as a beacon of modern British shipbuilding and sustainable tourism. The vessel features an interior scheme that subtly echoes the heyday of city river cruising, with awning-shaded decks, single deck panoramic views, bespoke Axminster carpets, Scottish eco-leather seats and a hammered English pewter bar.

Tickets for the Tower of London River Tour are priced from £14.50 for children and £18.50 for adults. The tour is committed to inclusivity with full accessibility on board. To enhance the experience, a range of refreshments will be available to purchase onboard, with premium English sparkling wine available for pre-purchase online.

Experience the ultimate day in London with the joint Tower and River Tour ticket, available at toweroflondonrivertour.com.
