LEGO Ideas Italian Riviera Set Unveiled – A Stunning Tribute to Mediterranean Architecture

The LEGO Group has unveiled the LEGO Ideas Italian Riviera set (21359), a beautifully crafted architectural model created for adult enthusiasts. This detailed set invites builders to explore the charm of a vibrant fishing village on the Ligurian coast, offering a peaceful yet engaging Mediterranean experience.

Build the Heart of the Italian Riviera

With 3,251 pieces, the set provides a rewarding and hands-on building journey. It features three colourful buildings, each with removable roofs and accessible upper floors. As a result, builders can dive into the interiors and discover a traditional gelato shop, a bustling fish market, and a compact diving equipment store. These elements reflect everyday life in a close-knit coastal community.

From Fan Design to Official LEGO Set

Fan Designer Alex Sahli, based in Portland, Oregon, submitted the original concept through the LEGO Ideas platform. The program encourages fans to share their ideas, which the public then supports through voting. After reaching the required votes, this design moved forward and ultimately became an official LEGO set. Thanks to Sahli’s vision, the set captures authentic Mediterranean architecture and a strong sense of local culture.

Characters That Bring the Scene to Life

The set includes 10 LEGO mini figures, each adding personality and storytelling potential. For example, a cheerful gelato vendor serves sweet treats near the waterfront. A dedicated fishmonger prepares the day’s catch, while a loving Nonna teaches her grandson how to make traditional trofie pasta. These heartfelt scenes encourage builders to create warm, everyday moments within the village setting. Moreover, tourists wander the streets, tasting local flavors and enjoying seaside views.

Release Timeline and Pricing Details

The set launches in two phases. LEGO Insiders can access it early starting 7 August 2025, both at LEGO.com/ItalianRiviera and in official LEGO Stores. Following that, general release begins on 10 August 2025. The set will retail for €279.99, £249.99, or $299.99, making it a premium choice for adult collectors and architectural model fans.
