TEKKEN™ 8 has revealed the final character in the game’s launch roster with the announcement of Reina, an all-new character coming to the legendary fighting game franchise.
Nicknamed the “Purple Lightning,” Reina is known for using her lightning quick moves to overwhelm her opponents. She is surrounded by mystery as the only known fact about her is that she is a student at the Mishima Polytechnical School. She also seems to have a very particular interest in fighting Jin.
Reina’s reveal completes the 32-character roster for the game at launch, which includes many fan-favorites, the surprise return of Jun Kazama, and three all-new additions with Azucena, Victor Chevalier, and Reina.
The characters in TEKKEN 8 play key roles in the game’s storyline, which continues the epic saga of the Kazama-Mishima feud.
Developed by Bandai Namco Studios Inc., TEKKEN 8 harnesses Unreal® Engine 5 to bring new weight and atmosphere to the game’s battles, with every character remodelled in stunning detail and new dynamic and destructible environments added to the game.
TEKKEN 8 is launching on 26 January 2024 on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam®, and is available now for pre-order.
