The Almeida Theatre has announced full casting for the UK Premiere of Jeremy O. Harris’ acclaimed play, “Daddy” A Melodrama, which runs at the Almeida from Saturday 26th March to Saturday 30th April 2022.
Claes Bang, Terique Jarrett, Jenny Rainsford, Sharlene Whyte and T’Shan Williams will join the previously announced Rebecca Bernice Amissah, Keisha Atwell, Ioanna Kimbook and John McCrea, who were originally cast before its postponement at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The UK premiere production is directed by Danya Taymor with set design by Matt Saunders.
The creative team is completed by: Co-Costume Designers Montana Levi Blanco and Peter Todd; Lighting Designer Isabella Byrd; Sound Designer Lee Kinney; Movement Director Anjali Mehra; Musical Supervisor Tim Sutton; Intimacy and Fight Director Yarit Dor; and Casting Director Amy Ball.
