Lee Isaac Chung’s ‘MINARI’ will be released On Demand & in Virtual Cinemas in the UK & Ireland from 2 April 2021!

Altitude will release Lee Isaac Chung’s award-winning drama ‘MINARI‘ On Demand and in Virtual Cinemas in the UK and Ireland from 2 April 2021.

MINARI will be released in drive-in cinemas from 12 April and in physical cinemas from 17 May.

With arresting performances from Oscar-nominated Steven Yeun, Oscar and BAFTA-nominee Yuh-jung Youn, Han Ye-ri, and BAFTA-nominated newcomer Alan S Kim, MINARI is intimate, beautifully composed and empathetic cinema of the highest order.

MINARI has been nominated for six Academy Awards including Best Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Score. The film has also been nominated for six BAFTA Awards, including Best Director, Best Film in a Foreign Language, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Supporting Actor, following its recent wins at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards. The film had its World Premiere at 2020 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award and has garnered critical acclaim and praise from audiences for its vivid and transformative storytelling.

A tender and sweeping story about what roots us, MINARI follows a Korean-American family that moves to a tiny Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream. The family home changes completely with the arrival of their sly, foul-mouthed, but incredibly loving grandmother.  Amidst the instability and challenges of this new life in the rugged Ozarks, MINARI shows the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home.

MINARI will be available On Demand in the UK and Ireland on altitude.film, Apple TV, Amazon, Sky Store, Rakuten, Virgin Media, BT, Curzon Home Cinema, BFI Player, CHILI, Barbican On Demand, Showcase and Volta.

For the first time, Altitude have also partnered with over 30 cinemas to offer MINARI on Virtual Cinema with a portion of each ticket purchased going to support independent cinemas.
