The Royal Opera House will broadcast Mozart’s thrilling opera, Don Giovanni, live to 600 cinemas across the UK on Tuesday 8 October 2019, 6.45pm. There will also be an encore performance on 13 October at 2pm.
Royal Opera favourite Erwin Schrott stars as the titular anti-hero, alongside Roberto Tagliavini as Leporello, Malin Byström as Donna Anna, Daniel Behle as Don Ottavio, Christine Rice as Donna Elvira, Louise Alder as Zerlina, Leon Košavić as Masetto and Peter Magoulas as the Commendatore. Hartmut Haenchen conducts.
The opera lasts 3 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval, and will be sung in Italian with English surtitles.
