In honour of the 72nd birthday of legendary rock icon, Freddie Mercury, Hard Rock Cafe London will be hosting a special one-day “Freddie for a Day” celebration on Wednesday 5 September 2018.
The event will bring Freddie fans and staff together to honour the musician’s life and legacy, while raising awareness and funds for the Mercury Phoenix Trust.
On the day, Hard Rock Cafe London will be selling wearable moustaches and pins inspired by the legendary rocker to benefit the charity.

“Freddie Mercury was a legendary singer, songwriter and record producer, and we are honoured to continue our longstanding support of The Mercury Phoenix Trust though the ‘Freddie for a Day’ program. This year, we are excited to bring the program to more cafes than ever before and support ‘Freddie for a Day’ in our locations around the world, in addition to our European cafes, which have participated in the program for six years.”
For one day only customers and staff at Hard Rock Cafe London are invited to join a day full of Queen music, moustaches, and birthday celebrations.
There will be a Freddie-themed birthday cake and even Freddie fancy dress competition where ten of the best-dressed Freddie’s will compete for the top spot.
The winning Freddie will receive a meal for two, as well as goodies from the Rock Shop and Universal Music.
