Marco Pierre White to make rare appearance at inaugural ‘Manchester Eats’ food festival

In a very rare, one-off, live cookery demonstration, top chef Marco Pierre White will don his whites and get behind the stove to cook one of his favourite dishes at the inaugural Manchester Eats food festival, taking place at Heaton Park from 7 to 8 July 2018.

The event will see Pierre White reunite with one of his many protégées, Matt Tebbutt, who will also make an appearance at the festival.

Manchester Eats is a brand-new event which will see the beautiful Heaton Park transformed into a food lovers’ paradise.

The event will feature talks and workshops from top celebrity chefs and mixologists, all celebrating Manchester’s growing restaurant and bar sector and its reputation as the food capital of the north.

Manchester Eats will offer visitors the opportunity to participate in classes including vegan & vegetarian cookery classes, a chocolate masterclass and cooking for kids.

Commenting on the coup, Denise Harris, Event Director at Manchester Eats, said:

“As a rule Marco does not cook at public events, so we are thrilled that he has agreed to help us mark our inaugural Manchester Eats festival by getting behind the stove and preparing one of his signature dishes. He will also be being interviewed so visitors can find out a bit more about the real Marco and what inspires him. It promises to be an insightful event.”
