Amazon has this morning announced that Mark Gatiss and Steve Pemberton will join the cast of Amazon Prime Video’s forthcoming 6-part adaptation of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman‘s acclaimed fantasy novel, Good Omens, adapted by Gaiman himself.
The pair will be taking on the roles of mysterious book-buyers Harmony and Glozier, and will join their fellow The League of Gentlemen co-star Reece Shearsmith who will play William Shakespeare.
Good Omens will star David Tennant and Michael Sheen, alongside Jon Hamm, Anna Maxwell Martin, Josie Lawrence, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Jack Whitehall, Derek Jacobi and Miranda Richardson.
Filming will conclude in early March.
Good Omens will launch globally on Prime Video in over 200 countries and territories in 2019 including in the UK, where it will also air on BBC Two at a later date. The series will be brought to the screen by the highly acclaimed director/executive producer Douglas Mackinnon, whose credits include Knightfall, Dirk Gently, Doctor Who, Outlander and Sherlock: The Abominable Bride.
