Halloween 2016: Days Out & Events

Halloween never fails to impress with the wealth of themed events and days out on offer, and of course this year is no different.

To help you decide, we have highlighted what we believe are some of the most intriguing and spine tingling options available.

Alternatively, for those wanting to stay in or have a quieter night, why not check out our TheatricalHome Entertainment and forthcoming Halloween Reads round-ups.

One of Manchester’s most enjoyable and addictive alternative entertainment venues, Breakout Manchester is an absolute essential must do for families, friends and colleagues alike.

The concept is simple. You are locked in a room of your choice for an hour and have to solve a series of puzzles and mysteries to escape. You will have to search high and low for clues and work together if you want to escape.

Each room is a different game and has a unique theme and story.

Horror fans, why not try their new abandoned basement themed room Captured, just launched in time for Halloween.

Please Note: Breakout Rooms are designed for teams of between 2 and 5 people.

Available until the end of November, the app takes users on a tour of 13 ‘cold spots’ across the Island. Users can listen to a spine-tingling tale of past events and ‘ghost bomb’ their selfies.

The Isle of Fright app has been updated as part of promotions to celebrate the forthcoming ‘Rings’, a new chapter in the beloved RING horror franchise, written by David Loucka and Jacob Estes and Akiva Goldsman, directed by F. Javier Gutierrez.
