ANNOUNCE THEY WILL PERFORM THEIR GROUNDBREAKING DEBUT ALBUM “NOTHING’S SHOCKING” IN ITS ENTIRETY AT O2 BRIXTON ACADEMY ON 20TH AUGUST AND O2 APOLLO MANCHESTER ON 21ST AUGUST
Jane’s Addiction, widely regarded as one of the most influential acts in alternative rock, will celebrate the final week of the 25th anniversary of the release of their landmark Nothing’s Shocking album with two very special and exclusive UK shows this August in London and Manchester, in which the band will perform the entire track listing of their acclaimed studio debut.
Lead singer for Jane’s Addiction Perry Farrell said, “When we started planning to do a few of these events for “Shocking” we really felt that we absolutely had to make London and Manchester part of the celebration.” “The fans there and in the UK played such a strong part in making it special the first time around.”
Originally released in 1988, and including tracks like “Mountain Song”, “Ocean Size” and the Grammy-nominated platinum-selling “Jane Says”, Nothing’s Shocking quickly redefined the alternative music genre and was praised by critics and fans alike.
Celebrated for their unique combination of rock, punk and acoustic artistry, Jane’s Addiction has sold over seven million records in the United States. The band is also known for spearheading the movement of modern American festival culture by creating Lollapalooza in 1991.
